Dessy Farhany has a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology. She was working in an Oil and Gas Construction Company before she decided to pursue her Master Degree in Energy and Environmental Management from Glasgow Caledonian University. She studied the possibility of Natural Gas to replace Coal in Indonesian Energy Mix with cost and environmental consideration for her thesis. She is passionate in the field of renewable energy and believes that renewable energy is the world’s future. She sees Indonesia, as the country with biggest geothermal reserve has great opportunity to rid itself from fossil fuels dependency. Along with other abundance of renewable energy sources. That is why it is important to build better environment for renewable energy development, especially through knowledge sharing.
