Ir. Nenny Miryani Saptadji, Ph.D.

Nenny Miryani Saptadji is one of Teaching Staff in Bachelor Program of Petroleum Engineering-Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) since 1982 and Magister Program of Geothermal Engineering since 2008. She studied geothermal engineering since 1987, four years after the first geothermal power plant in Indonesia operated. She finished her study in energy and geothermal technology from Geothermal Institute and Engineering School University of Auckland, New Zealand until she gained PhD degree in 1995. She successfully developed geothermal softwares in 1990s, among them are Geothermal Engineering Software (GES), Geothermal Production Utilization (GPU), Integrated Reservoir Information System (IRIS), and Sistem Analisa Resiko (SAR) for analyzing integrated economic geothermal project. She was actively participate in establishment of geothermal master program in ITB, the first geothermal master program in Indonesia. While leading geothermal master program dedicatedly, she was actively conduct geothermal capacity building with other national or international institution, such as USAID and Star Energy. As for her dedication toward geothermal education in Indonesia, she granted “Lifetime Achievement Award” from Asosiasi Panasbumi Indonesia (API) in 2015 and ITB Rector Award in 2017. She was acted as Coordinator of Technical Committee of the World Geothermal Congress (WGC2010). She was a member of Education Committee of International Geothermal Association (IGA) for four years. In Indonesia, she was one of the expert team from API for several management period. She was a member of Dewan Riset Nasional (DRN), Expert Commissioner for PT. Pertamina (Persero), and Independent Commissioner of PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) Tbk. Right now, she is an active member of Advisory Board in geothermal master program of ITB. Despite her being occupied on productive time, she is also an Advisor on Indonesia Geothermal Center of Excellence (IGCOE).
