To support the energy needs in Indonesia, West Java Provincial Government has a commitment to prioritize geothermal as one of the major energy supplied in West Java. The supports from West Java Government includes Starting from providing local regulations for direct utilization of geothermal, accommodating the location of geothermal power plant development area as a strategic area, supporting local companies to participate in geothermal, and contributing to solving problems that occur in the development of geothermal.
One of the strategic plan is to optimize the utilization of geothermal by applying the direct use of geothermal in particular in the area of geothermal power plants. The program started with the Pre-Feasibility Study on the geothermal direct use at Geothermal Working Area Darajat, West Java Province. The purpose of this program is to formulate recommendations for the initial modeling of geothermal direct use development. Aspects of the recommendation include an analysis of the technical, institutional, capital, and socioeconomic WKP Darajat. This activity is divided into three main stages: preparation, data collection, and report completion.
